The first game of the 2012-2013 season for South Dakota State basketball will be in Tuscaloosa on November 9 against Alabama. With that first step, the Jackrabbits look to match last season's run. They keep a group that played 82% of last season's minutes and will look to make up the rest with the contributions of seven incoming freshmen.

The South Dakota State offense will suffer from a 29.9% drop in three-point shooting, the largest gap that the team will need to fill. After that comes steals, where they drop 22.4%.
